GENERAL INFORMATION & MAP

The greater LA metro region would see a number of interstate improvements. The map below shows these various improvements. Solid Blue Lines indicate new free ultimate interstate routes. Dotted lines show additional Proposed routes or alternative routes. Red lines show existing Interstate highways. Interstate 310
Description Re-designation of SR-134 as interstate 310 from North Hollywood to Pasadena.
Purpose and Need To promote continuity with the existing interstate system.
Interstate 410
Description Re-designation of the entire length of SR-60 as interstate 410 from Los Angeles to Beaumont.
Purpose and Need To promote continuity with the existing interstate system.
Interstate 415
Description Re-designation of the entire length of SR-91 as interstate 415 from Gardena to Riverside.
Purpose and Need To promote continuity with the existing interstate system.
Interstate 710 - Extension
Description Construct a north extension to Pasadena. Plans were considered to use tunneling and other means to complte this segment of uncompleted interstate and reduce opposition.
Purpose and Need To promote continuity with the existing interstate system and create vital link in the Los Angeles metro freeway system. This route could alleviate congestion off of busy I-5 and I-405.
