Idaho's improvements to its interstate system include widening of existing routes and an addition of a new major north-south route throughout the state. as well as regional interstate additions as well.

The Twin Falls spur is basically just an upgrade of the existing US-93 south of I-84 to the Perrine bridge in Twin Falls. The route would be upgraded to interstate standards including a new freeway interchange at I-84. The highway would end at the Perrine Bridge where it could continue as "Business route 84" or Business Route 93 or be assigned a state highway number (such as SH-74 extension). US-93 could then be routed west along a new crossing over the Snake River.
