GARY MARINA ACCESS ROAD

PROJECT PURPOSE

The purpose of this project is to construct a new connector road to a new redeveloped Buffington Harbor.

PROJECT BACKGROUND

The city of Gary is redeveloping the Buffington Harbor area on the Lake Michigan shoreline. The city intends to create new residential and commercial developements along the lakeshore these new developements also include expanding the harbor and adding other amenities. The new roadway is intended to provide access to the Buffington Harbor and a nre parking structure planned there

PROJECT DETAILS

Current project details are few, but the current plans are to construct a 4 lane highway with an interchange at SR-912 in Gary, IN.
